About Daizey Grows
About Me
I'm Alex, and I run Daizey Grows.
After a decade behind a desk with overseas software companies — I decided there was more to life than chasing the next deal. The garden was always where I went to switch off, so I swapped the plane for a ute and made it my day job.
Gardening's been in my life as long as I can remember. My grandfather kept the best garden in his retirement village, one the professionals used to visit for tips. My Dad still gardens near 80, and swears it's why he's so healthy — I believe him.
I live in Glengowrie with my wife, our newborn, and our very opinionated 6-year-old King Charles Cavalier. I'm currently studying horticulture and have plans to expand Daizey Grows into a local nursery for the Southern and Beaches Suburbs.
The Daizey Grows Vision
Vision for Daizey Grows
I want to help people fall in love with gardening if they're new to it, or keep that love alive if age or mobility make it harder to get around the garden. My passion is helping people find the same peace in their garden that I found in mine.
Pretty soon Daizey Grows will become a retail nursery and help Adelaide gardeners with drought-resistant design, South Australian native selection, plant installations and energy-efficient set-ups — but for now, I'm focused on finishing my horticulture and helping people complete the garden projects they've always wanted to do.
Please reach-out to me on 0433 766 092. I look forward to hearing from you!
Daizey Grows Values
Independent. Every dollar you spend stays local. No franchise fees, no head office — just a business built here, for here.
Reliable. Same face, same care, every visit.
Trustworthy. I treat your place like my own. If there's a job I can't do, I'll help you find someone who can.
Fair value. Transparent pricing for every customer — no hikes just because I'm busy. A business should give value, not take it.
Communicative. You'll always know what's planned and what's been done — no chasing me for updates.
Local. This community's given my family a safe and happy place to live. I'd like the business to find ways to contribute to its residents, organisations and of course... gardens!
